Moritzburg Castle

Moritzburg Castle is one of the most wonderful castles I ever visited! These days nearly everyone comes here to find out more about ''Three Wishes for Cinderella (1973)'' - except me.
In 1972 Moritzburg Castle was one of the locations of this Czechoslovak-German movie.

It is named after Duke Moritz of Saxony, who had a hunting lodge built there between 1542 and 1546. The chapel, added between 1661 and 1671, is an example of early Baroque architecture.
Between 1723 and 1733 Augustus II. the Strong had the castle remodelled as a country seat.
The surroundings of the castle were further developed at the end of the 18th century.

In winter I would highly recommend a warm coat, because it's freezing cold by the sea.
One place you definitely have to see is the large garden in the back of the castle. It's a magical place.

Have you ever visited Moritzburg?
